Bethany-Kris is one of my all time favorite authors. Ever since I came across her Chicago Wars series, I've been in love with her stories! Now, she is my go-to author in everything mafia. Although mafia romance is her main focus, you'll get a new and exciting story every time. Every mafia family is run differently. They all have their own sets of problems to deal with. You'll just have to be ready for drama, love, and emotional messes that may come! This new collaboration is also very exciting because I've never read Erin Ashley Tanner's books. Let's just say, I'll be check out her books as well! ;)
PLOT LINE - Most mafia books are made up of main characters who are Made men. Those who are officially part of the family. However, in this one, Mac is not a Made man. In a way, this story is refreshing to look at the mafia family at a different aspect. Although Mac is known to be one of the best soldiers for one of the Capos of the family, he is rarely recognized. If he was...things would be a little different. He'll do whatever it takes to earn a button. When Melina shows up in his life, that was his chance. As a turn of events begin to unravel, Melina is tangled up in Mac's world (in his sheets and on the streets). Danger is always lurking, when someone wants them dead. First question is who. And second, what are they going to do about it? The plot line will draw you in and you're never going to be able to let go. Get ready.
CHEMISTRY - Not only will Mac and Melina have this intense, crazy connection. Bethany-Kris and Erin will make you fall in love with their characters as well. The first meeting between Mac and Melina made me smile. Mac's smoldering looks and charm will definitely clash with Melina's self-confidence and sassiness. She will do whatever it takes to survive and will take no shit from anyone. So, when Mac becomes a part of her life, an intense bond will form and it'll be difficult to break. As the gun moll, they'll do whatever it take to protect each other.
ENDING - Cliffhanger alert!! Yes, there will be twists, which you may or may not expect. But, it'll make you want the second book even more.
